How long are menigitis vaccinations effective?

Which one?: We give infants vaccine against the hemophyllis influenza type b germ , the primary cause of infant meningitis years ago. For whatever reason it becomes less of an issue after 6yo & the infant doses covered their vulnerable period. Pneumococcal vaccine is also given in infants & repeated for some adults. The Meningococcal vaccine is likely to give about 5 years of protection/dose.

Not permanent: Meningitis immunizations require a booster, usually given in adolescence, since a major setting for meningococcal meningitis is college or prep residential schools.
