A member asked:

The doctors said i had a low factor 8 they are sending me to a blood doctor. why?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hemophilia: Low factor viii levels can be seen with hemophilia a or von willebrand disease, or they can be a lab error. You will be seeing a hematologist to determine whether or not you have any of these conditions. The md will ask you about any bleeding problems with surgery or otherwise, and if anyone in your family has bleeding problems.
