Will take effort: You may be able to reduce it, but not stop it. You swallow air every time you swallow & unless you belch it up, it travels through. Most of your gas is generated by germ action on undigested food in the gut. You can make a list of the foods that make you gassy & avoid them or take supplements like BEANO or lactaid that can help. Probiotics can also help. Over time this can improve with effort.

Can you?: Passing gas is a normal biologic process. If gas forms in the gut, it usually has to find it's way to the end of the tunnel. Prevention of gas formation is one answer. Watch the foods your eat. High carbohydrate loads and foods such as cabbage, onion, beans and peas are high gas formers. Use a simethicone containing product to disperse the gas. Learn to be discrete and go to br often.

Depends: One simple way is to keep a food diary & keep track of what foods make you gassy & avoid them.Cow milk, beans, cauliflower, etc. Each of these contain sugars that some people don't digest well, so food is left for your gut germs to eat & generate gas. Lactaid is a pill that can reduce the problem if you have trouble with milk. Beano is a pill that can help with some vegies. Probiotics help some too
