Overkill: Blepharitis is common - a dandruff like inflammation of the lids and lid margins. It is chronic and rarely serious. Going to the er generates an expensive examination for an ordinary condtion, with little follow up for a chronic condition. Best to wait a little for an appointment with your ophthalmologist.

Any skin problems?: How do you know this is blepharitis? Do you have skin problems like psoriasis, pemphagus, seborrhea, eczema, ..? The ocusoft suggestion is okay- be sure to wipe the liquid off. The eyedoc may suggest ocusoftplus which you apply at bedtime and do not wipe off. Some of these skin problems may require steroid creams.
