Benign Tumor: Lipomas(fatty tumors)can be found anywhere along the intestinal tract, typically bulging towards the intestinal lumen. Though often completely harmless, when large they can erode thru the inner lining of the intestine and cause bleeding. Furthermore, they may cause (small)bowel obstruction, as the intestine tries to propagate the tumor out (intususception). Rx is only required for complications.
