See your doctor: This child is clearly delayed in his development. The first place to seek help is with his paediatrician or family doctor. The doctor will do an assessment of the child's development and check for medical causes. The doctor can then refer you to specialists and appropriate therapists who can help diagnose the child and provide the necessary therapy for him.

Be seen: It certainly sounds like he is developmentally delayed. Perhaps autistic. He needs to be examined by a developmental pediatrician.

Talk to his doc!: Talk to his family physician or pediatrician. He should be undergoing periodic well child examinations. You (or his parent/guardian) should express your concerns. There are standardized rating scales that we use to be sure each child is meeting developmental milestones. Since he's fallen off the curve, he should be referred to an occupational therapist & developmental ped for further evaluation.

As a parent or legal: guardian, send the form on www.helpmegrow.ohio.gov/Referrals/Parent%20Referral.aspx for an evaluation of overall development & autism-specific testing that will guide therapies. If 3, call Child Find of your local school district. At the same time, seek a referral from his pediatrician to a developmental/behavioral pediatrician to search for environmental, genetic & other medical causes.
