What does the term erythematosus mean?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Spelling?: Erythematous means red, usually because the little arteries are dilated because of inflmamation. Erythematosus is an adjective for the common type of lupus, literally (if somewhat strangely) "the red wolf".
