What causes infantile eczema to occur?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Reactions: Eczema is the most common auto-immune disease. Autoimmunity means that the immune system, which normally is designed to attack and destroy only its enemies, attacks one'e own body. In eczema, the attack is against your own skin. This attack, however, is very common in infancy, 1 of every 3 or more babies experience eczema. Most likely this is because baby skin is touching so many new items.
