Depends: On what you mean by "icky". It is not uncommon for patients to describe initial side effects to a medication that eventually subside. Common examples for citalopram are nausea or queasiness, loose stools, and maybe some cognitive clouding. Side effects that will likely not subside are decreased sexual interest, some emotional blunting and sedation. The initial ones should go away after a few days.
