Not much...: There is not much pain, but bruising and swelling is present. This swelling +/- bruising is most prominent for two weeks. I usually prescribe a medication for pain but most patients don't use it for more than 4-5 days. Ask your rhinoplasty surgeon for details.

Varies widely.: Your body's reaction to pain has many variables that are often challenging to precisely predict. The type of nose procedure makes a significant difference. Determining pain control for your recovery is individualized to you and should be discussed prior to any procedures when you and your surgeon talk about risks and expectations. Pain is a common anxiety but often controlled well for most folks.
