Binge/purge: Most people with bulimia (binging and purging) alone are of normal weight -- but much less healthy than without that behavior. If the binging exceeds the purging, then yes you can gain weight. Many complications, including: electrolyte imbalance, dehydration, constipation, hemorrhoids, swelling of throat, gastritis & tears of esophagus from vomiting too much, pancreatitis & dental cavities.
