A member asked:

Why is it so important to know your blood type?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It isn't,: Unless you need a blood transfusion, in which case it's critical. But you still don't need to worry about it, because you will either be tested at that time, or you will receive type o negative blood (the universal donor). If you know your type, especially if you'r o negative, then please donate blood.
