What should a person do if they get bit by a snake?

Dr. Joseph Bouvier answered

Specializes in Pediatrics

See below: If you can, identify if the snake is venomous or not? If not identifiable, look at patient symptoms - are there puncture wound(s), does pain begin immediately, does swelling, bruising, excessive bleeding, metallic taste in mouth, vomiting, diarrhea, weakness, light-headed ness, excessive sweating, or chills, increased respiratory and heart rates. If unsure in any way, get seen by physician asap.
