What is "failure to thrive" in infants?

Not doing well: Ftt usually means poor physical growth from any cause, often evaluated as low weight for age or insufficient rate of weight gain. The potential consequences can be great because of the critical need of the infant to reach growth milestones at certain times for proper physical and emotional development. A baby with ftt needs to have close, regular care with a pediatrician.
