Not so good: Pancreatic cancer is often diagnosed at the late stage which makes it very difficult to treat with chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation. In addition, even when discovered early it has the capacity to spread easily. We have a few long term survivors but on the balance most people die within 5 years.
