Are the drugs tenuate and adipex similar?

They are similar: Adipex is the brand name for Phentermine and tenuate is the brand for diethylpropion. They are both sympathomimetic appetite suppressants and work in similar ways. Yes and No: Both appetite control medications. Both controlled prescription drugs. Both should only be used under the close supervision of a qualified physician specialist in obesity treatment.
