Is it possible for a deviated septum to cause a constant cough?

Indirectly if sinsus: If the deviated septum is bad enough to contribute to sinuses that are diseased and stay infected or get infected too much. Sinusitis can cause you to cough. So that is determined by a ct scan. Are the sinuses themselves blocked? Infected? Sometimes a septum will need to be fixed in order to correct the sinus problems also.

Not by itself : It is more likely that sinusitis with a post nasal drip is causing a cough than the deviated septum. I would first try to treat these conditions.

Deviated septum: A deviated septum is not an uncommon problem. It can lead to nasal obstruction, snoring and even sinus issues. You only need surgery if you are having symptoms.be sure to have your nose evaluated by a board certified otolaryngologist. Cough is usually not caused by septal deviation, but there can be other associated issues.
