What is some info about hypereosinophilic syndrome?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Here: Characterized by an eosinophil count > 1500 on repeat testing over 6 months, with involvement of the heart or other organs. Ruling out secondary causes of eosinophilia (infections, malignancy, etc). Ruling out a clonal bone marrow disorder. There are now essentially 6 different subtypes of hes (hypereosinophilic syndrome). If undefined, it is referred to as idiopathic. Hope this helps.
