Possibly: Marijuana is not a particularly addictive drug, but it certainly can be associated with what we call physical and mental addiction (in the medical profession these are called "physical tolerance" and "dependence"). Physical tolerance refers to the fact that the brain adapts to the effects of the drug, and that the person experiences withdrawal when the drug is stopped.
