A member asked:

Can laughing gas work as truth serum?

Good Question: An ethical dentist would not engage a patient in any personal conversations while using laughing gas... It is not recommended for secret keeping. While sodium Pentothal is truth serum and nitrous oxide is completely different, many patients say they feel a very similar relaxed, mellow, or high like drinking alcohol.

No: Nitrous oxide is a gas used to relax patients. As you state 'laughing gas". Sodium Pentothal is "truth serum".

No.: The little secret about drugs used for anesthesia is that there are no truth serums as depicted in the movies. However people will talk about things that want to talk about and will be able to keep "secrets" or not talk about private issues.
