In which ways will muscle weakness affect my risk for osteoarthritis?

No special way: Usually when one muscle contracts then oppositly acting muscle relax and there are other muscles that holds the joint in correct position. Same muscle can act either way depending on the type of joint movement. If not in normal way then it can produce wear and tear of joint cartilage, bone changes on long turn.
