All involve lancets: Checking blood sugars requires a lancet prick no matter which meter is chosen. Some meters require less blood than others, but that's usually not an issue with adults. The lancing device has settings to adjust the power of the entry of the lancet. Turning down the dial might help. Please also discuss with your doctor or diabetes nurse educator.
