What would doctors do for a fractured elbow?

It depends: Elbow fractures can be treated in a variety of ways. Non-displaced fractures of the elbow joint can usually be treated with immobilization in a cast, splint or sling. Displaced fracture, especially if they involve the joint surface, require open reduction and internal fixation. Pediatric elbow fractures often require percutaneous pinning. See a board certified orthopaedic surgeon for evaluation.
