Only if first time: On occasion, when you use a muscle for the first time, you may experience tenderness, soreness and spasms. If you have not previously performed stomach exercises and commence on an aggressive workout routine, it is possible to briefly experience some spams over a 2-3 week period but they should subside thereafter. If it persists, you may want to look further into the problem.
