A member asked:

Can i take one vicodin and one xanex at the same time if i have a prescription for both?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

With caution: As long as your physician(s) are aware that you are on both medications they can be taken together. In combination, "one" of each may make you more sleepy than either alone. In large doses in combination, and especially when opiates and benzodiazepines are used intravenously overdose with respiratory depression and death are possible.
