Yes.: Nuvaring releases a low dose of estrogen which makes it favorable for extended use. This means that you extend the length of hormone use to have fewer periods. The ring has 35 days of hormone. So, on the same day each month, remove the old ring and immediately insert a new one. You won't have a period. After 3-4 times, have a period to avoid breakthrough bleeding. Safe but not fda approved method.
