Need more info: Sorry, but it is hard to say beyond some general comments. The location, aspects of when it started, associated symptoms and so on are needed. In general, burning sensations or pains suggest nerve involvement. Nerve pain (neuropathy) causes burning and tingling, and be caused by nerve injury, irritation or infection. One cause of burning with nothing else can be a first sign of shingles.Write more.
