Lice, Head: Do pronto and r&c ring a bell? The goal of tretament of head lice is to eliminate lice and eggs. Treatment should be repeated in 7-10 days (the time needed for the eggs to hatch) because nits are less effectively killed than adults. Aavailable otc medications include nix, (permethrin) rid, a2000. For prescription medications, consult your doctor.
