Discharge with cycle: If you are on birth control, especially depoprovera, implanon, Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud, you may have only brownish discharge instead of regular flow. Long term use of birth control thins the uterine lining. Therefore, when or if you have a cycle, it is minimal and may be old blood.
