A member asked:

How long will it take for a cat bite to get infected?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

2-3 days: Typically infections become evident after about 2-3 days. Make sure you have thoroughly washed the wound if it just occurred, and make sure you know that the animal has had all its shots. If you develop redness, swelling and or pain in the area see your physician without delay.
