What is the connection between obesity and diabetes type i?

Insulin Insensitivty: Obesity(fat) requires massive amounts of Insulin from the pancreas to store "the product". Additionally, the pancreas becomes depleted of Insulin or "the product" acts as its' own "production facility" decreasing its' sensitivity for Insulin to act. Either way diabetes then becomes more difficult to treat leading to the term a "brittle" diabetic with all the compiications thereof including death.
