Yes, most all : Orthodontits and dentist are not out to cause you harm and the treatments they recommend have been proven. Though many chemicals and materials used could be considered caustic in high amounts, they are not problematic when used properly. Food you eat has some of the same chemicals. Ask your provider.

What is more important is the skill of the orthodontic specialist who have years more training and experience than gp's or pedodontists who do ortho rx. The orthodontist is trained to choose the best and safest appliances to address your particular problem, and are the most skilled at using them.
