Mr angiography provides multiple views of the avm within the brain, providing the surgeon a three d view. Where?: Arteriovenous malformations are also common in the digestive tract especially in patients with chronic renal failure (found during endoscopies). They also may be present in the lungs.Vascular surgeons may produce artificial av fistulas for the purpose of hemodialysis. Theoretically angiography by ct or mra should find them.
