Spread : Common sites are liver and peritoneal cavity leading to ascites, jaundice, liver failure. Obstructed bile ducts and invasion into coeliac neural plexus can cause agonizing pain. Cancers of the head and pancreatic neck may differ from ampulla or pancreatic tail. The latter have longer survival and somewhat better prognosis.
