Lunesta (eszopiclone): Can be used in people with psychiatric conditions. It is effective for some patients but not for others. A number of patients have elected to stop Lunesta (eszopiclone) because it can cause a bad taste that does not rinse out.

Yes: Since cognitive behavior therapy is time consuming, often requires time off work and requires homework assignments, it is not for everybody and studies show a high drop out rate. Lunesta (eszopiclone) is a good option, especially in depression with primary or secondary insomnia because it increases the person's daily functioning level.
