Generally no. : Cancer is not transmitted from person to person: you do not have to worry about contact with a person who suffers from the disease. Even if exposed to cancer cells, your immune system would eliminate them. There are several types of viruses that can cause cancers to form (hpv, hiv, hbv) and these are transmissible. There are also reports of organ transplant recipients getting cancer from organs.
