Lots of reasons: Most likely, they were not ready to have sex and did so under pressure. There may be guilt for religious reasons. Friends may chastise you for allowing it. Sex is frequently thought of as a bargaining chip in a relationship which it should never be. It may be unpleasant, or result in an std. There may be legal issues. Under the right circumstance, there is little to regret.

Sex: It may be that a person is driven by longings and then when sex is completed guilt sets in for after the sexual drive is satisfied realistic thinking may take over. Sex can be binding and blinding , eventually it is necessary to understand what we are really looking for beyond the sexual act. Best.
