When do symptoms of a tick bite occur?

Days to Weeks: First symptoms of a tick bite, such as fatigue, malaise, fever, nausea can start anywhere from days to weeks after the tick bite. These symptoms may precede rash in cases of lyme disease.

Tick Bites: Symptoms of tick bites vary quite widely. The ticks secrete a toxin which virtually numbs the site, making it very difficult to even tell if a tick bite has happened, or is happening. If a tick can be spotted, it should be removed by your doctor or other medical provider, gently, with a forceps, so that the head and mouth parts are extracted as well.
