Alopecia: Two drugs commonly used for treatment of male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) are Finasteride (propecia), and topical minoxidil. In women with this condition, sometimes spironolactone is added if Minoxidil alone doesn't work. There are also surgical therapies and light/laser therapies.
