A member asked:

Is it possible to contract any skin diseases when in a public swimming pool?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: If the pool is maintained well then the chlorine or other chemicals in the water will protect you from any disease organisms. If you have any questions about a particular pool seek out the pool manager and ask for the test results of the water. These have to be done on a regular basis to check for water quality.
