A member asked:

Are blood clots in the arm connected to blood pressure cuff left on at all?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Arm blood clots: Unlikely that a BP cuff is the cause of blood clots in the arm unless left inflated for an extended period - hours. Sounds as if you were in the hospital and usual cause of blood clots in the arm is the IV placed causing thrombophlebitis. This is usually due to an infection of the vein or potentially due to medications given through the iv.
