Id in smear/culture: Lab testing can identify the germ in blood smears/spinal fluid/abdominal fluid or from blood cultures. Specimines are obtained before abx & placed on appropriate media for growth & identification. See www.Bt.Cdc.Gov/agent/anthrax.
