Highly variable: Sexually transmitted diseases can cause a wide variety of symptoms or none at all, so if you're concerned that you were exposed to an std, you should see a healthcare provider to talk about the right testing for you. Some symptoms to watch out for include discharge from the vagina, urethra, anus, or penis, lumps or bumps in the groin or genital area, and pain or tenderness of that area.

STDs: This may all depend on what your worried about. There is no one symptom to set of symptoms to watch for. There are twelve common stds. Some are bacterial and some are viral. Some are tested with blood; some are tested through culturing the areas of the body that are at risk; some are diagnosed by exam.

It varies: Some STDs cause painful urination and discharge. Others cause ulcers on skin lesions which may or may not be painful.. In addition, conditions such as HIV or hepatitis c, which can be transmitted sexually, may have little or no symptoms at first. If you ae sexually active or have a history of multiple parterners talk to a doctor about proper screening.

Depends on the STD: The most common symptom for stds is no symptom at all. Some people may notice symptoms such as genital itching, odor, discharge or sores within 3 days of exposure. Others, will never have any of these symptoms. So, if you think you may have been exposed, its best to go ahead and get tested. You may even consider getting treated for common infections just to be on the safe side.

Yes: Yes, many infections can do this. Hpv, or the virus that causes genital warts and ultimately cancers of the cervix, vagina, vulva, and anus can be asymptommatic for a decade or more. Hiv can have a period without signs. Gonorrhea and chlamydia are often asymptommatic. This is why people need to be tested, and not just think 'i am clean because i feel fine'. Get tested...

Often, no symptoms!: Many stds have no symptoms at all. If you think you do have symptoms: discharge, a blister or sore, pain, unusual odor, etc., get checked by a doctor or the health department std clinic to be sure. Good luck. Lgromkomd.

Variable: Stds are all infections, and as such, will take time to root and cause symptoms. If you are asking if there is an std that you will know instantly if you have contracted it, about the only one would be pubic lice if you find a louse that has jumped.
