It depends on Grade: Ligament injuries are graded on a 0-3 scale. Grade 0 is nl, grade 1 is intact but painful, grade 2 is partially torn, and grade 3 represents a complete tear. Grade 1 injuries heal the quickest (days to wks), while grade 2 injuries heal slower (3-6 wks), and grade 3 injuries take the longest to heal (6 wks +). Some commograde 3 injuries require surgery (acl/lcl) while others (mcl) heal w/o surgery.
