Depends: If you contract it in the first trimester, your risk of miscarriage goes up. It is not associated with teratogenicity (birth defects).

Mumps: Mumps infection in the first trimester of pregnancy is associated with an increased rate of spontaneous abortion.Although mumps virus is capable of infecting the placenta and fetus, several studies have failed to demonstrate an association between gestational mumps and fetal malformation. There is, a continued debate regarding a possible association between intrauterine mumps and heart problems.
