What are the chances a doctor misreads an ecg?

Minimal: I am not suggesting that it never happens but anything is possible. Sometimes doctors are so overworked that it might happen. A cardiologist should read the ekg in addition to your regular doctor to help in the accuracy of any diagnosis.

EKG: Most modern ecgs are computerized and have a computerized interpretation. This is not always correct and needs to be overread by a dr. A cardiologist has a higher level of training and is less likely to misread the study than the machine or someone with less training. The machine reading however minimizes the chance of a big mistake.
