A member asked:

Are people who live their lives as "loners", secluded, more likely to get acne?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: The nerd / geek who keeps to himself and has acne is a familiar stereotype. A loner or someone focused on academics may be less likely to care about acne, or bad acne may make a person withdraw, or someone in an abusive home may become isolated from others and not be allowed the medical attention their acne needs. Perhaps this is the link.
