UPPP/UP3: Uvulo-palato-pharyngo-plasty is a surgical procedure to relieve obstructive sleep apnea. The tissues that may be removed include uvula, soft palate, adenoids, tonsils, & pharynx. Results of this procedure alone have been disappointing so that subsequent operations (stanford protocol) may be done, which give 60-70% cure.
