SCFE: The medical term for this is slipped capital femoral epiphysis. It is most common in adolescents age 10-15 years, usually right before a growth spurt. It is more common in males, more common in the very tall, and more common in the obese. Although it is more common in the obese, and obesity is likely a contributing factor, one can not say sdfe is caused by obesity.
