What is the most serious consequence of gallstones?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Most serious: Probably the most serious consequence is those that occur less frequently such as bile duct obstruction from gallstone that does not resolve, severe pancreatitis, or even less common ascending cholangitis (severe bile duct infection).
